Veganism is a philosophy and way of life that seeks to exclude all forms of exploitation and cruelty for food, clothing or other purposes. And promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for animals, humans and the environment. Refers to the use of all or part of animal products in the diet.
Cruelty Free : The product and the ingredients used in the product were not tested on animals at any stage during their development.
Although the definitions of vegan and cruel do not quite agree, the principle behind each is the same. Both labels represent, and are a champion for, the protection of our furry and not-so-furry animal friends and their rights.
Cruelty-free products, although not tested on animals, may still contain animal ingredients or by-products that would have necessitated the death of an animal. This, of course, begs the question — are these products really cruelty-free? We believe that, regardless of your diet (vegan, vegetarian or omnivorous), your cosmetic and body care products do not need to contain animal ingredients.
A moisturizer, for example, may close the box of toughness, but it contains beeswax and is therefore not vegan. On the other hand, a vegan shampoo or a vegan sunscreen that is free of animal ingredients or by-products has been tested on animals at some point in its development and is therefore not cruel.
SEREIN works on the concept of vegan and cruelty free our products are neither made from animal by products nor are tested on animals as we have a strict policy again animal cruelty.
